Hey, these pics go against everything we have been told by the development team...absolutely NO exercausers! I guess they are even worse, they are technically walkers...but there was no walking involved at all. We wanted to see what S and E would do in terms of their fine motor skills...i.e. reaching for the toys. They were in them all of 10 minutes...here are some cute photos of the first and probably very few times they will get to try them out.

They are so beautiful Steph and are doing SO well!!!!!!
About the exersaucer- I have been told as well not to use the exersaucer by EI (especially for Tony, since he is not crawling yet), but occasionally, if I have to make dinner or use the bathroom, whoops, there he goes. However, Serena and Edwin are doing wonderfully and look like they're having a blast!!!!

I wouldn't worry about the exersaucer, Stephanie. Hallie spent a little time in them before she started to crawl, and actually enjoys them a lot more now than she did a few months ago (and it is a great device for when I need to shower, fold laundry, etc).
Unrelated: Edwin jr. looks SO MUCH like Edwin Sr. I am amazed at the resemblance. And both of the kids are TOTALLY gorgeous.
Abby,
Thanks for the advice.
Do you really think they look alike? We get so many differing opinions on who looks like who.
FYI for everyone, Serena is wearing her nasal cannula in these pics (see previous post). I just didn't want anyone to get thrown off and think there were all pics of Edwin Jr. First 3 are Champ and the last 3 are Beana girl. :)
I think they look like each other.. (the babies) with a lot of daddy and a bit of mommy slashed in there) They are so cute!!!
As for the exersaucer, well we don't have one, but I have a jumper that AIDEN LOVES!! EI never told me not to use it, but to not leave him in it all day, which I would never do anyway. Who would want to bounce all day long. And as others said it's great for when you have to do laundry or cook.. He goes in it in the morning to watch elmo then here and there through out the day. I think it's actually helped him with his legs and building strength. He is now starting to crawl and so badly wants to walk..
Well good luck to ya..
Hugs
Jessie
Exersaucers are not all bad. Regular use kept Noah's food in his tummy when he got to wiggly to stay upright on my shoulder after a meal. He did crawl late (1 year corrected), but our OT assured us that this was due to low shoulder tone making is difficult for him to push up on his arms, not leg problems from the exersaucer.
Don't worry about the exersaucer - we put Arianna in hers while we get ready in the morning. To make it even worse we put her in it and then in front of a baby einstein video! The horror! :D
They're too cute! I love seeing their pictures!
Steph,
I adore the pic of Serena with the keys in her mouth. They are both beautiful babies!
Yeah, the exersaucer. Our PT hates all the "devices" made for Mom's convenience. Especially bouncy chairs and exersaucers. I used both with Margaret... sometimes you just have to do what you can to take a shower!
And I plan to put William in one as soon as I get home so he can practice his head control. (I probably won't let his feet touch the bottom, though).
Hugs,
Lisa
