Cannula Free!!! (just for a second or two)

I think you can notice that Serena's right nostril is pretty dialated. The NICU we were at did a lot of nasal intubation...held the tube in place better and sought to avoid oral aversion. It's a little noticable and maybe it will get better with time, but if not, we avoided oral aversion, and we'll take a little round nostril over that any day!

That is great work on her part! I remember when they would "race" Ellie in the NICU. Day by day!

The twins are very cute. Love you blog!

So true about the oral aversion... I've dealt with that and it is NOT fun.

And I wanted to mention that if you aren't allowed to show a little leg while feeding the babies, certainly Edwin ought not show so much muscle in these photos. ;) Not that I'm complaining.... hehe.

I remember asking about Paige's nostrils while she was in the NICU. They assured me that they would go back to normal. Month after month they were still huge.

One day, while looking at pictures I had developed, I noticed that her nose looked normal. I ran upstairs to look at her in her crib and sure enough... normal nose.

Hang in there.
